October 2021- Little and large show

Post by Ernie »

As it says. Photograph showing any 2 x cactus plants. One of them to be substantially bigger than the
other.

Copiapoa gigantea, the largest many decades old and the younger a mere 5 years old from seed.

Edit: Not cacti for sure, but I'll let myself leave the photo out of contest.

Two little and one larger Tylecodon singularis, thanks to Derek T. and BCSS! All fully awake, apparently earlier than greenhouse ones. Hard to take a better photo without unpotting the flat plants I'm afraid.

I'm withdrawing my entry as the label of the larger says that it is ex-habitat.

I did think of trying something with some saguro seedlings but not got much to choose from for a big plant, then the rain started so plants had to stay where they where......

I thought my choice of subject was different from the usual giving a wide range of choice. Sadly it has not been taken up but at least one person understood what I was after and made the effort. The winner is Edds for his picture of the Grusonii and Puna. No doubt about it they are certainly 'little and large'. Over to you Edds for Novembers.
