Does anyone know or have an opinion as to what affects the silver appearance of this cultivar?

My plant was outdoors for most of the summer and the leaves are now far more green than the "typical" pale silvery-grey-green, which they were before putting the plant outside. New leaves recently made are coming through the more typical/attractive colour. Is this linked to age of leaves or light level?

Interestingly, perhaps, a plant that was probbly field-grown, bought online as S. t. Robusta and shown as having far more white than green in the cross-banding, has made far whiter new growth in good but dappled light than the leaves as received.

Less intense light produces paler growth?
