Toobees Exotics contact?

Post by MatDz »

Posting in the Haworthia Society section as I'm tracking a Gasteria rawlinsonii that came from that nursery about 25 years ago.

As far as my research go, the nursery closed a few years ago, but I've seen the names of Beryl and Bob mentioned on the forum, so they should be reachable somehow.

Bob's home address and telephone number are available in several places on the internet.

Their website is down and the subpages still accessible via Google don't seem to have the contact details, but I'll check again. Worst case I'll send a snail mail letter to the address in Woking I found online addressed to "Toobees Exotics"!

In the meantime, I have realised the offshoots I got came from a plant labelled as "Gert Smitskloof form", which led me to the following, quite plausible, entry:

Field number: EVJ 7799
Collector: Ernst Jacobus van Jaarsveld
Species: Gasteria rawlinsonii
Locality: near Studtis, Gert Smitskloof, Eastern Cape, South Africa
Altitude:
Date: 1983/05/18

Contact details are near the bottom of this 'old' page, the email address is out of date,

The clone from Gert Smitskloof is the one that stays totally distichous.

Now I "just" need to find the spiralling form!
