Last week I decided to thoroughly check for mealy bugs and found my large specimen of Gasteria araisi matsu (Picture taken at least a year ago) and found it absolutely wick with mealy bugs and not in a good state. I decided to break it up and what you see in the second picture are two pieces from the same plant! Confusing or normal? The rest of the plant has been destroyed.

I'd call this one 'Nigricans Monstrose', Arasi Matsu is usually seen as a creamy streaked variegated fan-shaped Gasteria. It's one of the few plants that I found so difficult to sell that I threw them out to stop them taking up room. I don't dislike it personally though and I think our forum moderator might even propagate it.
