Slight mystery as it has an MK number in brackets after the CJH…..

Perhaps the CJH number is an accession number, and the MK number is the collection number?

Both accession numbers, surely?

I do still have Chris's 1995 list where it's just listed as "Maihueniopsis mandragora CJH147 50p" and there's only one other CJH plant, Aust. verschaffeltii, CJH35. It is a bit puzzling as he listed, for example, Maihueniopsis nigrispina without any number - you'd think if he was using accession numbers (even if only for the opuntias) that everything would have some sort of reference number.

I have always assumed that as the plant came from Michael Kiessling in Germany that was his number either collection or accession.
Varied collection of mostly cacti with some Agave and Aloes - space is always the problem!!
