Well done
Nice looking plant
Nice looking plant
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Re: A couple of species Rebutia/Aylostera
Some more of my plants grown from seed sown in the winter of 2019/20 are flowering today.
I'm disappointed with Aylostera albipilosa FR754. Small quite orange flowers instead of the darker red and not the white fluffy Spination I was after either. The A.buiningiana R611 are nice plants. I have a whole tray in the greenhouse coming into flower which should look amazing! I don't know what I'd call the colour? Peachy maybe? (Being colour blind I shall have to ask my wife!) Not a lot of flowers on this senilis from BCSS seed but sure there will be more to come in future years. And a Southfields hybrid, 'Phoebe' brightening my office today!

Re: A couple of species Rebutia/Aylostera
Aylostera buiningiana has quite distinctive a pastel pink shade, fading a little as the flower remains open:

Re: A couple of species Rebutia/Aylostera
Thanks Ralph. I was a bit worried I might have hybrid seed with the pastel shades - good to know it's to be expected!
The tray of buiningiana are doing their thing nicely this morning, Along with albipilosa, perplexa and jujuyana, And narvaecensis still going strong.
