Chance seedling

This is the flower of a seedling found in one of my pots in 2019. I carefully dug it and potted it up and yesterday it flowered for the first time. The body is only about 3 cm's across so the flower is bigger than the plant. I really like it.

It certainly makes the most striking photograph.
Not a fan of hybrids, but that is a gem. Hopefully the plant itself, if somewhat small at the moment, looks like it might make an attractive addition too.

That is beautiful Sylvia. I hope I can breed something close to that over the years of my hybridising! Do you know what the mum was?

Sorry no I don’t know. It was just in the pot separate from the plant.

Fun and all. But I don't see a seedling at all. I just see a flower.
What genus are we even talking about?

Sylvia,
that's really first class.
I think you should name it - and propagate it.
Maybe you can find a tissue culture lab to do it?
It was your lucky day...

Hi Ralph yes I am trying to decide on a name at the moment. Also I may propagate it myself I notice it has a couple of extremely small offsets coming. So will wait and see first.
