Tephrocactus subterraneus

Post by Ross M »

I'm not sure whether the name on the label is still correct but am sure I've not seen it's flowers before (obtained 2009). There appears to be another bud coming😀

Nice, compact plant, Ross.
"We" would put it in genus Cumulopuntia these days based on DNA studies.

It's a most unusual flower colour, isn't it?

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.
