Tephrocactus subterraneus

I'm not sure whether the name on the label is still correct but am sure I've not seen it's flowers before (obtained 2009). There appears to be another bud coming

Nice, compact plant, Ross.
"We" would put it in genus Cumulopuntia these days based on DNA studies.

Yes thats definitely Cumulopuntia subterranea ( note the a instead of us at the end ) .
I cannot for the life of me remember what colour the flowers were last year on mine I just presumed they were yellow, but now you have got me thinking seeing yours ( nice plant and beautiful flower ) .
