Some colour in the greenhouse today - Cochemiea and Notocactus

Post by Tony R »

A few snaps from a distance this afternoon - sorry, no time and too much effort today to reach and move the plants and use a black background.

Cochemiea poselgeri

Cochemiea pondi ssp. setispina

Notocactus scopa var. ramosus (named as bought many moons ago!)
Or, just for Colin, Parodia scopa ssp. marchesii
Out of interest, I posted a photo of this same plant 11 years ago,
see viewtopic.php?t=153214
also for some interesting discussion on its name and origin, flowering a month earlier that year.

Looking good with or without background
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

I think Benjy means the Notocactus looks a bit like a Copiapoa...
