This Tephrocactus is now starting on its tenth segment, nine of which just go straight up. It had a wobble a couple of years ago when it started to lean over, but now it is standing up on its own.

None of my T. geometricus plants flowered this year, but they all made new segments. For the last few years, the two biggest ones have only produced flowers.

What goes up, though, must come down. One in, one out. This species never seems to grow tall, at least not in my greenhouse. The most I've got is three segments high.
