Hi,
I have a chance of swapping plants for these, one looks a bit like a Gymno, others not sure, time may be a factor, so This might be faster then trying to look them up, can you help??
And perhaps a COPIAPOA , Mammillaria?
Many thanks
Mel.
Can anyone ID these plants?

Re: Can anyone ID these plants?
The first one could be Gymnocalycium bruchii if those heads are quite small.
The second one might be a Mammillaria gracilis cv.'Arizona Snowcap', though it looks a bit bloated and/or possibly not had good light.
I can only guess as to a Thelocactus for the third one.

The first one reminds me of Gymno hyptiacanthum - I've split those up before.
Is the bottom one a Sulco? or maybe something Eriosyce way.

Re: Can anyone ID these plants?
Hi,
Thanks for your help, I assumed the person offering these plants did not know their ID as it wasn't offered, seems strange when your dealing with plants. however they now tells me their:
1. Gynocalycium bruchii
2. Mammillaria gracilis texensis
3.Neoporteria Napina
But what about this one, seems like aome kind of monstrous form of what.... Not one I've seen before?
Mel.

Re: Can anyone ID these plants?
The last photo is a monstrose Notocactus Uebelmannianus that sometimes has nice spiral growth, it's often seen grafted but is OK on its own roots but does split with erratic watering.

Re: Can anyone ID these plants?
Hi Stuart,
Thanks for your reply, that sounds like I plant that's worth a try. The spiral groth sounds interesting, so should it grow tallish? The ribs? seem to form the spiral, I assume rightly or not that the offsets do the same?
Thanks to all for your help ond offerings, this will be my first Monstrose or cristate plants in 40 years of growing, sure I've not had anything before, and I know there are quite a few about... That's it a new part of the collection weired plants, but where do I start!!
Mel.
