water therapy for mesembs

Post by peter831shaw »

During the conversation about watering using sub irrigation I mentioned I am not a great waterer... and tend to underwater my lithops and such.

The results often show up as lost and dried up roots.

A technique seen on Reddit uses humidity with the poor plant suspended over the water

I tried this on a few others in the past and just tried (Gibbaeum and Argryoderma). Using sphagnum moss rather than a cup of water.

I realize I should just learn how to water these little guys, I am trying which is why I grow them from seed.
But this worked in just 2 weeks.
