Any autumn/winter growing cacti or succulent. I tend to consider the quality of the photograph first then the plant and finally the overall impression the image gives. I hope the wide ranging subject attracts a lot of entries. Good luck.

Well, it's a bit too late for me... it's springtime now. Just two photos of Dioscorea elephantipes growing potted outdoors.
First one - May 2022 (autumn)
The second - today, 5th of October 2022 (spring)

Conophytum obcordellum, a winter grower and nocturnal bloomer - flowers just opening this evening. Two photos from slightly different viewpoints (and using different camera lenses).

I hoped there would be more entries given the wide subject however one thing we can be certain about and that is Rod will always deliver good photographs. I respect someone who takes time to set up for a good picture rather than just going for a 'quick snap'. Anyone who makes the effort deserves the rewards therefore this month Rod is the winner with his Conophytum praesectum. (any of his entries would be a worthy winner but I like this one the most)
BTW It is a photo competition not the best plant competition! That seems to be forgotten or overlooked sometimes.
Over to you Rod for November.

Thanks, Ernie. I'll post a subject for December in the next day or so.
