Brightened a winter's day.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs.

Hi Fatich! You obviously are very successful with your seed raising! Well done - there are some choice plants there.

Just a quick question for everyone: if you look closely at the picture of the Mammillaria humboldtii seedlings, you will see that on a few of the tubercules, the spines have failed to develop properly, but the plant has then recovered. It's a problem I have noticed on some of my plants too - even adult plants, not just seedlings - in a range of genera, not only Mammillaria, but also e.g. Aylostera. Does anyone know what causes this problem?
