When you register on the Forum, your account requires to be approved by an admin before you will be able to post.
In order to try and keep the Forum a safe place for BCSS Members and other cacti and succulent enthusiasts of all ages, everyone who registers is checked. If you are a BCSS Member and include your membership number, this is easy, because we can just look you up in the database. If you are not a BCSS Member, then we rely on the data you provide. If we can't find any traces by a brief online search, your account will be placed "on hold" until you get in touch with us by email and ask for Forum account approval.
If you registered a while back and still haven't been approved, please drop an email to forum@bcss(etc) using the same email account you put in your Forum registration, giving your name, the Forum username you selected, and a sentence about your interest in cacti and succulents.

Post processing is acceptable and even encouraged, I'm not going to put any limits on what can be done so combining images is allowed

Jim you have provided us with the answer I was expecting, if not for which I was hoping.Jim_Mercer wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 5:06 pmPost processing is acceptable and even encouraged, I'm not going to put any limits on what can be done so combining images is allowed
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

Re: May 2023 - Taken with a phone (or tablet)
Just realised I didn't really include the subject in my original post and can't edit it now. The subject is any cactus or succulent, single plants or groups including mixed plantings. Photograph can be taken in past and editing is allowed. The sole criteria is that the original image(s) were taken using a phone or tablet

I did write a guide on how to post images, it might need a slight update after recent changes to forum https://www.forum.bcss.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=165491Abigail123 wrote: ↑Fri May 05, 2023 2:07 pm photo of a gasteraloe green ice taken on a Samsung A51 (im not sure how to put the photo on but i tried so if its not worked i will try again)
Your image did make it but has fallen foul of the forum software ignoring the orientation flag, by clicking on the correct part of the posted image I have opened the original image and it is that portrait image that will be judged
