Can anyone idenitfy this Mammillaria, looks almost monstrous, simple flower!

Yes, Mammillaria painteri but fma monstruosa, sometimes called cv. Caterpincy. The actual species is rather rare in cultivation, and offsets as uual from around teh base, and has many more spines. It can be found under Reppenhagen's number 1396. The German Mamm society offered seed a year or so ago,
but its mostly this monstrose form that one sees.
