Convention plant queery

I bought a plant at last years convention that was labled :- bayeri GM v. dev
Can anyone please explain what the V. dev means?

Hi Allan,
I would imagine it is a plant originally propagated by Gerhard Marx but supplied through his nursery partner Vincent DeVries (VDV)
