Unknown aloe

Post by DesertPlant »

A few years back, on the quest for seed of Aloe polyphylla, I ordered some which turned out not to be Aloe polyphylla, but something else.
I have no idea however what they are, would anyone have a clue? If it helps, the seed came from AfricanSeeds.

Reitzii was the first thing that went through my mind.

Thanks. The general shape seems similar, but it seems reitzii has broader leafs, and I don't see pictures with spikes on the top of the leaves.

Thanks!
A. marlothii seems like a good candidate. A. aculeata looks similar too, but I read that it's stemless, and these already seem to develop a stem. Hopefully I get them to flower at some point, that might help a bit too.
