Can you possibly provide a link to an archive of that discussion?

Was it similar to the instructions given here?

These are very nice. A difficult species?
You can take the boy out of the greenhouse, but you can't take the greenhouse out of the boy!

Considering that they were sent from the Ukraine, it's understandable. The growing instructions that were included were unusual, but a very nice touch (in English).

I'll report back on my success ratio this Spring.
An update, and question:
The A. hintoni were received in a 2nd special delivery padded envelope which had 7 stamps (as the 1st). It also included extra A. ritteri seeds (both additions were gifts).How could he have made very much of a profit off of this order ($21.00 USD for Aztekium hintoniii 10 fresh seeds. × 1 $3.00, Aztekium valdeziii 10 seeds × 2 $8.00, and shipping $10.00).

Here are the unusual sowing instructions:

Temperature fluctuations are required;
17-18˚ C, (62-64˚ F) for 2 days then 24˚ C (75˚ F).

They need to be stimulated this way around 5-6 times.
Crop temperature should not be higher than 25˚ C (77˚ F).

Comments are encouraged.
