It's a pity because he has some superb plants and realistically priced. I know from speaking to him last Tuesday that he will be at many of the plant sales this summer. He did tell me of the jaw dropping number of plants he has propagated this year in preparation.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

"JUST TO CONFIRM Sales will be open from 1100 hrs on Saturday 10th and 1000 hrs on the Sunday 11th - this is a slight change an hour earlier to give you more time to shop.
We have over 32 sellers from all over the UK who will display their wares over 98 tables THAT'S OVER 290 feet of plants to choose
from!"
It still shows 290ft of tables, that can't be right can it?

Maybe pointing out the obvious, and apologies if it's already been done, but it would be good to communicate these things to the actual organisers as well as posting on a public forum that may not be read on a regular basis.

Hi All,
I emailed Bill and it was just a typo re tables, so '100 tables @ 6 ft x 2.5 ft is + 600+ feet of sales plants.

Apparently we should have received an email 25th July, maybe mine went into spam, see below
ALL TRAFFIC will be directed from the main entrance of Stoneleigh to the rear of HALL 2 (7th Street)
there are 2 rear roller door to the hall and ample parking to unload- once you have unloaded
you will be directed to the rear of the Warwick complex which is next door - the designated traders parking area
PLEASE LEAVE IDENTIFICATION AND CONTACT DETAILS IN THE VEHICLE and wear reflective jacket whilst
setting up t(his is required by the management in case of emergencies) an H & S regulations

NO VEHICLE will be allowed to stay in the unloading area during the opening times of the event and must
be moved to the designated parking area and the roller doors to the hall will be closed after all setting up has been completed/.
UNLOADING can start at 0900 hrs on Saturday and Sunday - THE SALES WILL BE OPEN FROM
1100 on Saturday and 1000 on Sunday -~PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE also please note if you are only attending on Sunday
you only have an hour to set up . Any refilling of sales stands can be done at the end of Saturday or on Sunday morning.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES can anything obstruct the free passage in the main hall
You may keep unsold material under your stall or on Dutch trollies behind it

Bill just confirmed it is 600ft of tables, this is going to be huge in terms of UK plant sales. This is a chance to see many of the nurseries that only sell online. Best to be there at 11am Saturday and maybe buy tickets online if entry is faster that way than paying by cash on the door. That's still only 3 minutes to look at each table if only there for the Saturday so I'd recommend going for both days and watching the talks on the Sunday. I don't want to worry the organisers but, if this works - and if ticket sales are over 1000 - the event needs to be held at the same time each year to build up something like an English version of ELK.

Not sure that anyone can help at this late stage. I’d suggest paying again on entry, by card so there’s proof of payment and then requesting a refund next week. If anyone connected with issuing the tickets has a better idea then maybe they’ll post something here tonight.

Thank you for puting on a great weekend. Because of the wide advertising on Facebook I wonder if there were many non members attending?
I didnt notice a BCSS stand. If there were non members, can I suggest BCSS has a promotion stand to recruit new members with an offer eg entry money back or free plant. It could also be an advise desk.
Perhaps a few volunteers from local branches would come forward if BCSS kick started it. Im sure a few, including me, from Birmingham Branch would do a couple of hours each. There are several branches nearby. Offer volunteers free entry :) !
