I also love plants whose bodies are dwarfed by their flowers, like this ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus I photographed from David Quail's collection.

Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

Growing in Nottingham for the past 4 years and recently found my way to a Nottingham branch meeting. A few plants on a windowsill has very quickly turned into a greenhouse full!
Attempting to grow a range of turbinicarpus, coryphantha, escobaria and several other cactus genera. Tylecodons, pelargoniums and conophytums keep me occupied in the winter and an ever expanding number of gasteria live under the bench.

The plant was so small (maybe 3-4mm across) that I couldn't tell if it was alive or not so I photographed it just to zoom in to check.
I was not expecting to see a tiny minature plant!

My Lewisia pygmaea a few weeks ago, deciding for some reason to flower before the leaves had grown. Never the largest plant, but this was ridiculous.

Astrophytum hybrid seedling. Only one remaining from the batch.
Root growth was "iffy". A possible solution was graft. Work in progress
