My Schlumbergera kautskyi has decided to flower - maybe because we went away for a couple of weeks and left the heating off.
The flower is just like other Schlumbergera flowers, but much smaller, only about 1" (2.5 cm) long:

Re: Schlumbergera kautskyi
I don't think the heat was the trigger. I have a small one I got this spring, which spent the entire summer and most of the autumn outside on my balcony. Only brought it in yesterday. And then I noticed two small flower buds. So mine is busy to flower in a nearby future. In the mean time it has taken all the rain and cold this autumn has been able to provide. It certainly has not received a lot of warmth since late September.

The pots are sold as aquarium pots. I think I bought mine on Aliexpress.

They do more robust (and larger) net pots for orchids too.
