Had a trawl through the topics back to the beginning to find some inspiration and not duplicate the theme. Then saw some plants which should be resting/hibernating ... but didn't read the memo ... because I can see buds and offsets .... and I don't force propagation.
Most cellphones (mobile phones) have the capability. Most point and shoot cameras have the ability. So get a little bit closer and explore what your plants are doing .... UP REAL CLOSE. Let's see what buds and offsets and winter flowers and spines and areoles look like. It's a photo competition so I'll not judge the plant even if I knew how or wanted to. And yes spiders and bugs and molluscs lurking in the plant are fair game too. Be adventurous and creative!

December 2024 - A little bit closer please.
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
Currently being wooed by Haworthia, attempting hybridisation, and enticed by Mesembs. Recently discovered gorgeous Gasteria.

A little "bump" to remind folk it's half way through the month.
I'd like a challenge ... ie make it hard work to judge because I have lots to judge

Sadly I lost this plant in the spring 2024. Winter damage.
