Stephen: I spray from time to time with a fungicide which seems to work on some types but those that produce lots of the nectar which attracts the ants do tend to go black around the areoles. To spray or not to spray? That's the question for Bruce!

David, I've never seen it. It was hard enough to find concentrate rather than the spray-on stuff. 8-)

Ian, they're not a branch of Monsanto are they? I try to avoid Roundup etc.

Provado vine weevil killer is great you can water it into the plant and it is systemic.
You can buy it over the internet for ?10 a bottle.

No they're not a branch of Monsanto but equally "evil" in the activities. Interesting that the rabid greenies only target one or two big chemical companies and ignore others? Perhaps because Bayer isn't American ;)

Dobbies (gc's & mail order) are selling Provardo (sic) concentrate - 300ml for ?6.99. Is this good value?
