Yes Tina, that's the one. The smaller head was much smaller in 2016. The larger head has grown a bit but I guess it has nearly reached its maximum size. I'll repot it for next year I think to try and squeeze a bit more growth from it. I think it's intriguing that this one formed one basal offset but never sent out any offsets from higher up, whereas the first plant in the previous photos which is temporarily bedded out has only sent out offsets on the end of short stems from higher up the plant.

Right spot, right plant, great result. Great colouring.

You've helped me make up my mind about my Ebony pupping, they will stay if they end up anything like yours.

I remember seeing this plant at the national and was bowled over... what an amazing plant

This was a single head 20 years ago. I lost the original label which I think was Echeveria agavoides f. minima. I've never seen the plant for sale since. Mine has never flowered. Now in a 40cm bowl. Unfortunately it never gets away from the uniform lacklustre green colour and prefers to scorch than get any redness.
