A typhoon recently hit Taiwan . While i storm-proof my green house.
I notice my Lithops are dead from Sunburn.Quite a rare Case.
Then i notice the ligh-level inside green house is brighter then normal.
My sunshade has gone missing.
That is when i realize what happen. The sudden change in sunshade cause the sunburn.
The heart-breaking casualty is my crown-jewel Avonia alstonii .
The leaf are all crispy brown.
The body resemble half-cook potato.
Soil is bone-dry so it;s not a root-rot.
I suspect the Foehn wind before typhoon is the cause. Both blow off my sunshade and heat up the air.
Any way this is the first time i see Avonia dead from Sunburn.
They native in the hottest quartz desert !
