That would be my guess also… There are some buds developing on areoles halfway down the plant.

Agreed ID and passengers and buds
Endeavouring to grow Aylostera, Echinocereus, Echinopsis, Gymnocalycium, Matucana, Rebutia, and Sulcorebutia. Fallen out of love with Lithops and aggravated by Aeoniums.
