Echeveria pot
I visited Wisley gardens today and they had some lovely pots of Echeverias on display
I suspect it's partly to encourage people to use plants that are tolerant of dry conditions. They looked happy, although there had obviously been one casualty.Croydon Branch member, growing mainly cacti and Echeverias

Re: Echeveria pot
Nice colour variations, but they’ll need to go under cover with the first frosts!

Re: Echeveria pot
Yes I thought the same Diane, and that's a big heavy pot. Guess they'll move it on a trolley, or even take the plants out and replace with something else.

Re: Echeveria pot
I'd put money on a vine Weevil creating that hole! I bet they lift them and stick winter planting in that container. I do it with a bunch of my Aeonium and they take it in their stride.

Re: Echeveria pot
I photographed this same display in the rain back at the start of August. It is difficult to be sure, but I think the 'gap' was turned against the wall then?
Best wishes,

A lovely planting, Jean and Derek, thanks for sharing.
I don't think the planter has been rotated, Derek, you just took the photo from the 'opposite' side from Jean. viz. gap at green circle.

Re: Echeveria pot
I guess they pot them up like bedding plants and take them out for the winter. I can't imagine they are growing together like that for long?
