This is my favourite greenhouse ( I have three), it holds most of my Euphorbia, Pachypodium and other odd uns, lots of the plants are still waking up by midsummer it's like a mini jungle. I also have my propagators in here and any unrooted plants get to stay in the warm until they can move out to the other greenhouses.
I have a parwin heater & soil warming cables as the plants seem to be able to cope with cooler temps as long as their 'toes' are warm, I water often in here several times a week sometimes as I keep the door closed or only slightly open. It often gets to high 30 or 40's.
Dorstenia, Pachypodium and Euphorbia, looks like the large Euphorbia abdelkuri is going to flower again, I have been braver this year & given it more water
Euphorbia, fouquieria and my large Idia columnaris- it's in a bit of a strop at the moment & leafless, I'm not sure if it's got to hot & resting, or wanted more water so lost it's leaves, they seem to opportune growers ( if that makes sense).
A favourite is this Pseudobombax ellipticum, this was from Ernie. It had rot & no roots when it arrived but is finally getting established . Anyone know how he is ?.
A bursera fagaroides flowered for me last year and produced seed pods ( front right with zip bags on it), they are small individual green seeds and once ripe the green case falls off to show a bright red/orange seed.
and the end, with the discocactus on the top shelf, very nice euphorbia bulbispina some odds n ends, some choice Ariocarpus that are rooting are on the under shelf, these might stay in as I don't want them to get any water marks. My large greenhouse does get lots of condensation because of a flooring issue.

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse- lots of succulents !!
Top shelf Melocactus,Uebelmannia, larryleachia, hoodia.
Then Euphorbia's , seedlings & odd ugly grafts. I'm waiting for the scions to get bigger before I degraft.
Top shelf pachycormus discolour- another sulky plant, my favourite Euphorbia poisonii,it has grown a new branch since the last National.
More Euphorbia and other odd Madagascan plants There are lots of duplicates I find once I like a certain plant I can't walk away from it's relatives so they come home too, why I have four Idria's and no space.....
Also a very pretty astrophytum that doesn't want to root, disco cactus horstii top left next to the Pachypodium they love the heat.

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
Oh boy, what to start with...
I think we should set a limit for cases like this, something like 'one picture per month'. So we have enough time to comment and ask all the questions that might cross our minds. I'm kinda glad (OK, I'm not, but still...) that chances to pay you a visit are so small. I don't know how other two GHs look like, but I doubt one day would be enough to carefully take a look, ask, comment (and most of all enjoy) this one.
Of course, I wouldn't be my funny(?) me, if my first comment wouldn't be like: obviously male hands are needed here to sort the plants by type, size...
But seriously, just by taking brief look at amount and variety (not to mention quality) of shown plants, I have to take my virtual hat down.
P.S. I might have a question or two later, but let me enjoy pics first...

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
I know I'm messy, can't help it I get it from the kids .
I tell my friends it's the chaos greenhouse, one of my good friends hates it that plants aren't in groups he wants me to put all my Ariocarpus & Astrophytum together ( his favourites), at the moment they are spread over three greenhouses but I prefer the variety when I wander around, also I find it a shock when I put them in groups as I think I only have 3 -5 but really have 8-10 of each.
Any questions or better photo's you can ask, looking at the pictures they look very twiggy but there's lots of sprouting going on.

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
Also some are grouped according to their watering needs, back row on left hand side are the thirsty bunch, front row LH are the limited water.
Any in small black trays are seedlings, I keep them in there trays for a couple of years until I have to repot them.
RH 3 front is odd plants that are being watched or may be in the 'to go pile'

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
Splendid collection of heat lovers Tina, you say that you keep them very warm in the summer but I did not see what temperature you maintain in the winter?
Regards Keith.

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
If I got you right, your hoodias get warm winter? I keep few of mine with cacti, together with hoodia-like trichocaulons but latter don't seem to like cold feet.

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
I sense an experiment here this winter. Leave few hoodias with cacti, move few to pereskiopsis chambers and find out what they look like and do next year. How often you water hoodias during winter? And do you keep some fan on during winter period?

Re: Tina's hot greenhouse
there are autovents and four fans on 24/7.
I don't water the hoodia's at all during the winter, they aren't on soil warming cables as none of the shelves have this.
Did I say it's an 8 x 12 greenhouse.
