This Fenestr roph aurantiaca SB720 Skilpad is coloring nicely with the intense summer light.

Great colours, Tom. I'd love that Fene, but it would probably not make that colour over here. Dribble, drool!

Great colours Tom. Maybe I should give my Fenestraria some more sunlight.

Give it a try, Len. Full sun, not too hot, and some clones colour up better than others. Ssp aurantiaca seems generally to colour up better, but it might just be overall more sensitive to the sun. The cultivar 'Fireworth' is the most sensitive of all my Fenestrarias to the sun and colours up well. Even when not blushing red, some clones have a nice blue shade.

Well with all the good weather we had in Scotland (up until last week:diss:) I have had some good colouration in my plants, but also needed some careful juggling of plants to avoid scorching. Now the rains have started, there's almost an Autumnal feel and conos are stirring!

Just thought I would add this pic to the colour display....

I took some pictures of various colours of Fenestraria but they all seem slightly out of focus to me. Maybe its just the way they are since the top dressing to either side look sharp. Anyway, here's a strongly coloured ssp aurantiaca seedling. I'll work on some more photos later.

Here's a better photo of the plant:

I just checked my database and my plant is grown from the same SB720 seed. It might be a particularly well coloured form.
