Hello Vic

oops, we did it again: we found the things that the books say that there are not.

This is my first message to the Forum, after having looked through all of Trevor's pictures I had to write. It's difficult to express my admiration 'MIND-BLOWING' is something like. The quality of pictures is superb and the plants fantastic. I sat there wishing I was on the trip!
Obsessive Crassulaceae lover, especially Aeoniums but also grow, Aloes, Agaves, Haworthias and a select number of Cacti.

The white spined pilispina is interesting Juan. Most I have seen were darker spined, or is it just bleached in the sun?

Thanks for all the encouragement folks, and Juan, good to see you joining in !! :-)
So on with the show...After San Ramon, was everything else going to be a let down ? Definitely not. The next morning Ingrid took us all out to a spot not too far out of Taltal, a valley where the Copiapoa cinerea run rampant ! (Can cacti run rampant ?)

Then Ingrid says to those within earshot that there was what seemed a high proportion of crests in one small gully area, so we walked over and she was certainly right...
